Registration applications for the Town of Oyster Bay's Co-Ed Physical Fitness Program and the Physical Fitness Program for Women ages 18 and over, will be accepted from March 4 through April 5, according to Town Councilman Joe Muscarella.

"Coordinated by the Department of Parks, Recreation Division, these programs are for individuals who want to increase flexibility, tone muscles and build strength," Muscarella said. "Both the Co-Ed Physical Fitness Program and the Women's Physical Fitness Program will be held in the Marjorie R. Post Community Park Center, Massapequa, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from April 9 through 25. The Co-Ed group will meet from 9 to 10 a.m., and the Women's Physical Fitness group will meet from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m."

Muscarella noted that both fitness programs are offered to Oyster Bay residents 18 and older free of charge. As is always the case, it is recommended that participants check with a physician before participating in any physical fitness program. Registration forms are available at Town of Oyster Bay libraries, Town parks, Town Hall North in Oyster Bay and Town Hall South in Massapequa. For more information, residents can call the Department of Parks at 797-4126.
