After training throughout the fall and finishing a season of winter play with an outstanding record of 9-1-2, the 5th/6th grade Jericho Lacrosse Club entered the 2002 spring travel season with great excitement. Starting off with a preseason game against the highly touted Bethpage team at Hofstra University, Jericho dominated every aspect of the game, winning 8-2. In its opening PAL league game against Glen Cove, once again, the Jericho squad showed tremendous poise and maturity, controlling the ball more than 90 percent of the game and quickly shutting down any opportunities by the Glen Cove offense.
