Alzheimer's Association Holds Memory Walk
On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Alzheimer's Association, Long Island Chapter held their annual Memory Walk at Eisenhower Park. Memory Walk is a trademark of the Alzheimer's Association and stands as its premier fund-raising event. It is the only national fundraiser for Alzheimer's disease and has grown significantly since its inception in 1989.

Town Board Approves Jericho Fire Department's Site Plan
At the Oct. 1 Town of Oyster Bay board meeting, the board voted unanimously on a resolution to approve the Jericho Fire Department's site plan for a new firehouse, which would be located 240 feet north of Birchwood Park Drive in Jericho.

Peewee's are back on a winning track! They beat Lindenhurst green 19-12 in a game that was nowhere close to what the score indicates the braves had their way with the Bulldogs all day. The offensive line consisting of Colin Byrne, Michael Genovese, Alex Parlo, Greg Morley, Sean Lohan, Richie Lizza, and Chris Ferolito did a great job blocking. Running backs Angelo Galasso, Dylan Schwaber and Connor Kennedy reaped the benefits of the line's hard work. Galasso scored the first of his 2 touchdowns on a reverse from 35 yards out made possible on a downfield block by QB Mike McIlwee.

JAA Soccer Boral Boys Win 2-0
The Jericho Athletic Association's 2nd-3rd grade boys' soccer Team #7 was fleet-footed in its first win on Sunday, October 6, at the Williams School field in Jericho. Team sponsor, Steven J. Boral, DDS, was in attendance and cheered on his players.
