The Jericho Jets 1 team took the best soccer show on the road to Lindenhurst this week finishing third in a very competitive tournament (the Jets were tied for second in points going undefeated for the tournament and giving the first place team its only loss). As quoted by their coach, "No coach can be prouder of his team for their dedication, ability, heart and soul that each of these kids possesses."

Evan "shut-out" Zinger allowed only two goals in four games and almost missed the game getting lost in Brooklyn. Corey "the Rocket" Bogdan and Leo "Pistol" Weiner each scored two goals with Pele-esque shots. Jordan "the Cannon" Brett almost knocked the goalposts over with several powerful shots. Jake "the flying" Falk showed his agility leaving his feet several times in pursuit of the ball. Steven Watt and Andrew Weiss, aka Brick Wall and Stone Wall were immovable objects on defense. And Perry "As good as" Gold and Scott "Flash" Divak excelled in keeping the ball out of the net.
