Syosset Chamber Holds Installation Dinner
The Syosset Chamber of Commerce held their fifth annual Installation Dinner on Feb. 12 at the North Ritz Club in Syosset. The event allowed both chamber members and those interested in the chamber to celebrate the success this past year brought and also to swear in the officers and directors for 2003.

Town Board Approves Application for Health Club in Woodbury
The Town of Oyster Bay Board voted earlier this month to approve the application submitted by The Industrial and Research Associates Co., fee owner and Equinox Woodbury Inc., tenant, for a special use permit to operate a health club on the property located at 7550 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury.

JAA's Mystics 35 Andrew Marc Monarchs 23
The Woodbury Common's Mystics continued their fine team play against the Andrew Marc Monarchs with a 35-23 victory. Rachel Rosner had a breakout game for the Mystics scoring 10 points and putting the Monarchs behind early. Alison Kinzer and Marissa Taurasi added 14 and 7 points respectively for the Mystics and did a fine job in breaking the Monarchs second half press. The Monarchs were kept in the game with the great ball handling and scoring of Alison Gluck 15 points and the inside and outside game of Jessica Graf, 7 points, and supported by Abby Wank, 1 point and Julie Gold, Amy Balin and Chelsea Kutner. The Mystics excellent team play was evident by the defense of Jessica (The Stopper) Weingast, Samantha Gordson, 2 points and Sanchita Menra, 21 points.
