Joseph T. (Tom) Sheck, formerly of Syosset, died on May 12, 2003. He was born Nov. 21, 1919 in Baltimore, MD, son of Joseph A. and Elsie Wagner-Sheck. He was a US Army Air veteran of WWII and he received the Bronze Star during the Korean Conflict. He attended Fordham University, NYU and NYU Graduate School. He was retired from the furniture industry holding several positions including vice president of sales for State of Newburgh, Colony House Furniture, Newton, and Chapel Hill Furniture. Husband of the late Marie Fegan Sheck. Father of Peg Shanley, Barbara Lino, Kathy Sheck, Terry Hillerich, Anne Premer and Beth Schreiber. Grandfather of seven. Brother of William A. Dorothy Rose Bello, of Syosset, died on June 3, 2003. Mother of Louis, Maria and Rosemarie. Grandmother of Kyle, Sara, Christina, Grace, Hope, Faith, Stephanie, John and Alyson. Sister of Edward Emanuele. Wife of Louis T. Bello for 30 years. Arrangements were made by the Beney Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Edward Confessor RC Church. Interment Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.
