Congratulations to Woodbury Speedster Larry Green, who scored as the 84th runner overall and eighth out of 50 runners in the 50-54 age group in the prestigious Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial 5-Kilometer Run held on the roads of West Islip. Green covered the 301 mile course in 20 minutes, 42 seconds, a pace of 6:41 minutes per mile.

The McNamee Run is part of the KeySpan Grand Prix of Long Island Road Races conducted by Long Island Track and Field, and attracted a field of 731 runners that included most of Long Island's most competitive runners.
Green is a proud member of the Greater Long Island Running Club and runs competitively for the club's Men's Racing Team.
