  • News: Syosset Students Named Semi-Finalists in Siemens -Westinghouse Competition

    Helen Kyd and Vandana Sood were each named semi-finalists in the prestigious Siemens-Westinghouse Competition. The competition rewards students for original science research projects completed as a team or as an individual. Both Syosset High School students worked in tandem with a student from another school and participated in their research as student members of the Syosset High School Research Program. FULL STORY

  • Sports: News From Syosset High School Roller Hockey Club

    The Syosset High School Roller Hockey Club is making believers out of everyone. League President, Dean Spinato had this to say: "We knew they would be good because they had a lot of players returning from last year's championship team. The fact that they have Jonathan Mosenson, just made the expectations that much higher. They have just been totally dominating. What is more amazing is that I know that Syosset's Coach David Mosenson has put limits on Jonathan's scoring. I really believe Jonathan could score 8 goals a game if David let him. David wants to teach what the true meaning of winning and losing is all about. His team has learned how to win a very dignifying way without belittling their opponents." FULL STORY

  • Sports: Jericho Athletic Association Donates Equipment to Support Sports Program

    On behalf of the Jericho Community, the Jericho Athletic Association, recently donated funds to the Jericho School District to support and enhance the district athletic program. Two Daktronic LED basketball scoreboards, with wireless remotes are being purchased for the new field house at Jericho Middle/High School. Additionally, wings and benches will be purchased and installed on the four baseball diamonds located at the Robert Seaman Elementary School. FULL STORY
