On behalf of the Jericho Community, the Jericho Athletic Association, recently donated funds to the Jericho School District to support and enhance the district athletic program. Two Daktronic LED basketball scoreboards, with wireless remotes are being purchased for the new field house at Jericho Middle/High School. Additionally, wings and benches will be purchased and installed on the four baseball diamonds located at the Robert Seaman Elementary School.

Over the past 20 years, the goal of the Jericho Athletic Association Executive Board has been to allow the children of Jericho to participate in a comprehensive community sports program. The goal of this organization is to teach basic skills, promote good sportsmanship, and foster friendship.
This gift is to honor all the thousands of Jericho children who have participated in JAA programs over the years. " Our executive board is always looking to enhance the sports experience for all the kids in Jericho," said JAA President Jack Schnitt. "We have worked hard to improve our program in the most cost-effective manner, and are pleased to donate the savings from those efforts back to the community."

"We are pleased to accept this generous donation from the Jericho Athletic Association," said Superintendent of Schools Hank Grishman. "This dedicated group of community volunteers provide the children of Jericho with an excellent community sports program. The donations will enhance the athletic programs for both the schools and our community."
