Two Jericho High School Students Split $50,000 Siemens-Westinghouse Science Competition Scholarship Prize
Sean Mehra and Jeffrey Reitman recently earned national honors in the 2003 Siemens-Westinghouse Science Competition. The Jericho High School seniors will split a $50,000 scholarship as the second place winning team in this national contest. The competition took place at the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, DC on December 4-8, 2003. National awards were announced at a press conference on Monday, December 8. The Siemens Foundation gave out $500,000 in scholarships to recognize the "best and brightest" students in the hard sciences, mathematics and technology.
