The volunteer firefighters of the Syosset Fire Department will suit up this weekend, but they'll replace their helmets with red stocking caps, their bunker pants with red velvet suits and add buckles and beards. Christopher Funfgeld, a senior at Jericho High School, was recently named to the Nassau County high school hockey all-star squad that will face off against Suffolk County in the 8th Annual Vytra Cup on January 10 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale. Funfgeld is a resident of Jericho. FULL STORY

On Nov. 22, the Jericho Youth Football League had some of the biggest bashes that Nassau County has seen in years. Superbowl III was a tremendous success for both the players and community. It was standing room only at the Jackson School Fields. The fans were treated to sensational food and music and summertime weather, which set the stage for fantastic football action.
