On Dec. 10, the Jericho Middle School Swim Team, coached by Tami De Rose and Will Martinez, opened their season with a win against Huntington Middle School 88-59.

Personal best times were performed by Jordan Solomon, seventh grade, 50 yard butterfly in 33 seconds and a first place winner; Thomas Chang, seventh grade, 100-yard I.M. in 1:21 and a first place winner and Steven Park, eighth grade, 50-yard freestyle in 29 seconds and a first place winner.

The team went on to win their second, third and fourth meets. On Dec. 16, the Jericho Jay Hawks Swim Team defeated Bethpage Middle School by a score of 91-68.

On Jan. 5, the Jericho Junior Varsity Swim Team defeated Great Neck North by a score of 79-74. Personal best times were performed by Harry Anser, eighth grade, 100 I.M. in 1:31; Wyatt Tichner, eighth grade, 100-yard freestyle in 1:20; Jordan Solomon, seventh grade, 50-yard fly and 31 seconds and first place winner; Mark Graziano, eighth grade, 50-yard freestyle 28 seconds and a first place winner and Karl Mueller, eighth grade, 50-yard backstroke in 38 seconds and a first place winner.
