Underhill Deal Finalized
On Feb. 5, a deal to preserve 50 acres on Jericho's Underhill Property was completed with the town, state and county all coming through with the funds they promised. The agreement, which has been a conceptual understanding since October 2002, finally came to fruition.

Survey to Be Mailed to Assist in Establishing Downtown Syosset Improvement Plan
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto recently announced that the Syosset Hamlet Plan Committee, in cooperation with the town, is distributing a survey to both residents and business owners to help develop a plan to improve downtown Syosset. Residents should receive the survey in the mail by the end of February.

Jeffrey Mosenson Memorial Golf Outing Set for May 3
The first annual Jeffrey Mosenson Memorial Fund's Golf Outing is set for May 3. This event will be held at the Pine Hollow Country Club in East Norwich and will include an elaborate brunch and a variety of food on the course, a cocktail party and special dinner. In order to allow everyone to show support, the cocktail party and dinner will be open to friends, spouses and all others who do not wish to play golf.

Three is a Charm
The Jericho BU-7 soccer team won its third straight indoor tournament wining six straight games. Chase Scotland scored five goals and secured the tournament's offensive MVP. Andrew Greenblatt again played outstanding, scoring goals and defending the other teams top players. Jesse Blumenau scored a hat trick on three throw-ins. Jonah Telyas had some powerful kicks. Nicholas Mu was a stonewall on defense. Newcomer Scott Pergament was a welcome addition both on offense and defense. Jared Weiss was again amazing in goal allowing only three goals in six games.
