The Jericho School District is currently planning its second annual "Relay For Life." With the support of the American Cancer Society, the district will be hosting the "Relay" at the Jericho Middle/High School complex on May 22 and 23. "Relay For Life" is an overnight celebration of hope, progress, and answers. Groups of friends, families, neighbors and co-workers form teams and walk around our high school track to raise funds, awareness and the spirits of those present. Last year, the Jericho "Relay" registered more than 900 participants and raised in excess of $80,000. It is an incredibly exciting and emotional event that is not to be missed.

Team captain meetings will be held on Wednesday, April 21 and Wednesday, May 5. Both meetings will be at 7:30 p.m. in the middle school library. These meetings are for community members who are interested in learning more about this event and receiving registration information. Registration and luminaria forms will be available. This is not a "Jericho community only" event. Residents from surrounding communities are welcome to participate. For further information about the Jericho Relay, please contact Mr. DeMarinis at 681-4100, ext. 3220 or Mary Marks at 681-4100, ext. 3202.
