Town Reviews Hearings Regarding Aquifer Protection Overlay and Recreation Districts
While most hearings presented in front of the Town of Oyster Bay Board bring some opposition, Tuesday's meeting was different. The agenda included three separate hearings, one of which was adjourned, all related to the new Aquifer Protection Overlay District (APO) and the new Recreation District (REC) located within the Town of Oyster Bay's Special Ground Protection Area (SGPA). Although there were many speakers, all were in favor of passing the new local laws.

Last semester, as part of the course "design and marketing new products," MIT Sloan School of Management students struggled with the task of marketing a completely new vehicle technology, hydrogen power, to the public.

Syosset Invasion Gain Shutout Victory
There is no I; in the word TEAM and that sentiment fits the Syosset Invasion Girls U-11 Travel Soccer team to a "T." With contributions from every position, the whole was even greater than the sum of the parts as Syosset defeated the Lynbrook-East Rockaway Lightning 3-0 in LIJSL Division 2 action last Saturday. The shutout victory in the second game of the season was the first league win for Syosset this spring following an opening day tie against the North Shore Jaguars.

SYAC Softball Travel Teams Begin Spring Season
On a day that was picture perfect for softball, the Syosset Xtreme and Syosset Flames launched their spring softball seasons April 18. The two U12 travel teams are part of SYAC Girls Softball and are sponsored by Braces by Dr. Charles Frankel of Woodbury.
