Jericho Lacrosse has certainly come a long way. The boys Varsity High School team ended the 2004 season with a 14-2 record, making it to the playoffs this year. The middle school had an 8-1 record. The 5th/6th grade Club team a 4-3 record and the 3rd/4th grade team a 7-1 record. As players from the youth program now begin to filter in to the upper school teams, the results are obvious. The Jericho Lacrosse Club now offers programs all year round for lacrosse. More and more students have taken up the craze of lacrosse. It's exciting and fun to play. This year the Jericho Lacrosse Club has set up a scholarship fund for a graduating senior from Jericho High school, who has either played, or help coach in the club. This year, Brendan McDermott was honored at the Jericho Lacrosse annual year end picnic, last Saturday. Brendan has been associated with the Lacrosse club since the beginning nine years ago. Like his brothers, he played for the club in the early days. Brendan went on to play lacrosse for the middle school and high school. While playing for the school, he has helped coach the kindergarten - second-grade clinics for the past couple of years. We wish him well as he now goes on to college to continue his lacrosse career.

Congratulations to the Jericho High School Lacrosse team, coached by Coach Mutz and Coach Cummings, as they went 14-2 this season and placed eighth in Nassau County.

Jericho had five players named to county awards this year: Max Motschwiller- All County Honors; Alex Jacobs - All County Honorable Mention; Sam Shusterhoff - All County Honorable Mention; Brendan McDermott- All Conference and Warren Liao- All Conference
