Jericho Student Captures Regional Title in Science Competition
Jessica Fields, a senior at Jericho High School, was recently named the New England Regional Winner in the Siemens-Westinghouse Science Competition along with teammate Taylor Bernheim from The Ramaz Upper School in New York City. The team submitted a project entitled "From Micro- to Nano- Patterning: Organizing the Extracellular Matrix and Directing Cell Adhesion."

Community Rally Scheduled Outside Cerro Wire Property
A community rally that will call upon the Oyster Bay Town Board to pass a building moratorium for the Robbins Lane corridor, including the former Cerro Wire property, will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 11 a.m. on Robbins Lane in Syosset, adjacent to the LIRR crossing.

The Syosset Xtreme finished a great fall season in the Wesco ASA League on a heavenly gift of a warm fall day on November 7. The SYAC U12 travel squad dropped a thrilling 5-3 game to Three Villages, a worthy rival throughout the season, in the playoffs semi-finals.
