Four dates have been set for girls to sign up and be evaluated for team placement for the 2005 spring season of SYAC Girls Softball.

All girls in grades 2 through 8 must attend one sign up/evaluation session. Girls should bring their glove, and parents should bring cash or a check for $85 for the spring season. All evaluation sessions are at H.B. Thompson Middle School in Syosset. Sign up first in the cafeteria before going to the gym.

Girls in kindergarten and grade 1 need not attend a sign up/evaluation session. You may sign up girls in this age group by mail. Cost is $75. Information and a sign-up form are available at www.syacgs.org. Forms also are being mailed and distributed via schools.

Girls in the Senior League (grades 6-7-8) should attend on Thursday, January 6, 2005, between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Girls in the Junior League (grades 4-5) should attend on Monday, January 10, between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Girls in the Pony League (grades 2-3) should attend on Monday, January 24, between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.

If you cannot attend your designated league night, you may attend on another night.

A last chance sign-up is scheduled for Saturday, February 5, from 10 a.m. - noon. On this date go directly to the H.B. Thompson Auxiliary Gym.
