The Baylis PTA recently hosted its annual Family Night barbecue and softball game. Baylis families gathered on the playground for a fun summer night of barbecued food, raffle drawings, games and softball.

Co-Chairs Michelle Ritter and Noreen Pero did a wonderful job organizing the annual Baylis PTA barbecue and softball game.

The Baylis barbecue included classic fare such as chicken, hot dogs, burgers, salads, corn on the cob, desserts and ice cream for all. Sports-themed prizes were raffled off throughout the evening delighting many lucky winners.

The highlight of the night was a softball game featuring the Baylis Class of 2005 who challenged Baylis teachers and parents. The softball game is an annual tradition that fifth-graders eagerly look forward to. All fifth-graders took the field wearing a Baylis Class of 2005 headband in celebration of their upcoming graduation from elementary school. Fifth-grade teachers Donna Conlon, Barbara Conover and Barbara Shampanier as well as Baylis families cheered on both teams in this exciting game.

At the end of the night, Baylis families went home well fed and content with another wonderful evening spent together.
