Syosset Chamber of Commerce President James Tinnelly and Event Committee Chair Frank Urso, assist Legislator Judy Jacobs in cutting the traditional grand opening ribbon, as members of the Syosset Chamber Board of Directors lend their support. On hand to celebrate the festive occasion were New York State Senator Carl Marcellino and Town of Oyster Bay Councilman Chris Coschignano. Judy Jacobs is one of the original founders of the Chamber, and Chris Coschignano is presently the second vice-president, and will be first vice-president this coming January

On November 15, the Syosset Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of its new office, located on the grounds of the Community Church in Syosset.
The affair was attended by more than 120 guests. Excellent food and desserts were donated by La Viola Restaurant, Cardinali Uno, Mim's Restaurant and Lounge, Encore Personal Chef Service, Ron's Kitchen, Syosset Discount Wine & Liquors, and It's Greek to Me, all of Syosset, and La Bonne Boulangerie Bakery & Pastry Shoppes and Messina Market of East Norwich & Port Jefferson. These business owners and staff have served the local communities generously for many years, and continue to be popular with area residents.
Due to hard work from all levels of leadership, and the dedication, imagination and creativity of its many members, the Syosset Chamber of Commerce has become one of the fastest growing chambers of commerce on Long Island. It continues to employ innovative ideas and concepts to reach out for new members. The new office will be staffed by an administrative assistant four days a week, excluding weekends and Tuesdays.
