Arthur Kroll was elected fire commissioner of the Jericho Fire Department on Tuesday. Kroll received 162 votes, Michael Ehrenpreis received 45 and Victor Klein, who withdrew his name but still remained on the ballot, received 22 votes.

Kroll has been a resident of Jericho for 45 years and a member of the Jericho Fire Department for 43 years. He also held every rank in the fire department spending six years in the chief's office and 20 years as a commissioner from 1975-1995.

"I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and I will do my best to instill the confidence that people gave me," said Kroll.
