The Jericho School District will dedicate a new high school varsity swim record board in memory of First Lieutenant Matthew D. Lynch on Thursday, December 22, at 4:30 p.m. in the swimming pool area. Lynch, a 1997 Jericho High School graduate and officer in the United States Marine Corps, was killed in the line of duty on October 31, 2004, in Iraq.

Lynch holds 8 of 11 swim records at Jericho, including 6 individual records and 2 team relay records. The First Marine Corps District Color Guard will be present at the dedication. Interested members of our community are welcome to attend the ceremony.
