The Jericho Athletic Association recently introduced pre-season clinics for the 2006 Little League season. Jericho Little League clinics will be run by Spring Training Academy. For more information on Spring Training Academy, go to www.springtrainingacademy.com.

To participate in the Jericho Little League pre-season clinic, your child must be registered for the 2006 Jericho Little League season and pay a one time $10 clinic fee (fee should be paid at the clinic).

During each clinic, children will be divided up into their specific age group. Please bring a baseball/softball glove and a bat.

Clinics will take place on Sundays from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Jericho High School Main Gym. Dates for remaining clinics are as follows:

Sunday, January 29 - Girls

Sunday, February 12 - Boys

Sunday, March 5 - Girls

Sunday, March 12 - Boys

Sunday, March 19 - COACHES CLINIC

Sunday, March 26 - Girls

Sunday, April 2 - Boys

Sunday, April 9 - Girls

Registration for the 2006 Jericho Little League baseball and softball season will continue through February 1st. Children registered after February 1st, cannot be guaranteed a spot on a team roster.

Jericho Little League registration is open to all Jericho school district residents with children from Kindergarten through 6th grade (7th graders born between May 1 and December 31, 1993 are also eligible).

You can register your child and volunteer to coach for the 2006 season one of two ways:

In person - Attend the JAA registration drive: January 30 and 31 from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at Jackson Elementary School

Fees for the 2006 Little League season are $100 for Kindergarten and $125 for other grades. It is impossible to have a successful Little League season without coaches. As always, volunteers for coaching are greatly appreciated.

The 2006 Jericho Little League season will kick off with the annual baseball parade and Opening Day on Saturday, April 8.
