Pamela E. Boslet Buskin, 60, of Montclair, NJ, formerly of Syosset, died on Feb. 4, 2006 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Beloved wife of John Buskin. Cherished mother of Oliver and Roxanne Buskin, all of Montclair. Caring sister of Robert Boslet of Uniondale. Memorial at 2 p.m., Sat. Feb. 11 at the 1st Congregational Church; 40 South Fullerton, Montclair. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Pam graduated from Syosset High School in 1963 and was part of a prominent Syosset family. Her late father, Robert Boslet, was the Syosset Postmaster from 1940 to 1977.
Pam conceived and developed the website, A Syosset Scrapbook, which contains over a thousand images and memorabilia of old Syosset. Pam wrote in the intoduction: "To some of you, Syosset is still home, a vibrant, ever-changing community. To others, Syosset exists only in your memories. To all of you, we hope you will enjoy this brief trip home." Syosset Scrapbook will be continued in her memory.
Pam was a poet, writer and editor. She also founded, on the web, ken*again, the literary magazine, and was co-editor and co-publisher. Originally for Syosset High School Alumni, it quickly grew to include writers and artists from all over the world. Poems and prose by Pam are archived on the ken*again web site.
