The Konsker Electric Grasshoppers staved off the tenacious Franklin, Gringer & Cohen Muckdogs in the JAA Girls 5th, 6th & 7th Grade Softball Championship game on Sunday, June 11 with an 11-10 victory.

Rallying from a 6-0 deficit, the Grasshoppers won with the superb pitching of both Carly Konsker and Carly Krauser, and great fielding from the infield, anchored by Ellie Bernstein, Lianne Condon and Taylor Weissbratten. Catcher Erica O'Neill made two terrific tag plays at home. Sara Jenis, Amber Beaumont, Elizabeth Frankini, Taylor Green, Alexa Aseel, Jessica Frankel, Nicole Wilcow and Annmarie Jaghab all contributed to a great team effort throughout the season, in the playoff game on Saturday against the Preferred Empire Mortgage Blue Claws as well as in the Championships.

The Grasshoppers thank the Muckdogs for a great game.
