The Jay Sox got off to a quick start in the first inning after Jared Weiss and Matthew Rothman led off the game with walks, Goren knocked them home with a towering triple to right field. Conor McElhinney drove home Goren on a ground out to first base to increase Jericho's lead to 3-0.
