The fall season of SYAC Girls Travel Softball got off to a roaring start under clear skies and balmy temps on Sunday, September 10.

The Syosset Storm split a doubleheader with the Plainview Pythons in what was the first competition for both newly formed teams. The Storm competes in the U10 division of the NJBL League.

The Syosset Flames dropped a pair to the Long Island Lady Sharks at Syosset High School field. The Flames are playing up this year in the U12 National division of the NJBL.

The Syosset Xtreme, which plays in the U12 American division of the NJBL, had a game bye. The team held a general skills clinic with John Brajevich of the Silver Bullets Softball organization.

SYAC Travel, which is in its fourth year, is rapidly growing. For more information: www.syacgs.org.
