The October Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the middle school library.

The evening agenda will include:

• Tree Dedication in Memory of Bus Driver Joan Kelly at 5:30 p.m.

• Review of district policies 1333, 1334, 1335,1336, 1337, 1340, 1350, 1410, 1420, 1430, 1510, 1511, 1520, 1610, 1611, 1620, 1710, 1720, 1730, 2110

• A presentation by Edward Friedlander, Director Pupil Personnel Services, and Dorothy Vann, K-12 Curriculum Associate for Special Education

• Observatory/Planetarium Proposal by Frank DiMartino, K-12 Curriculum Associate for Science/Technology

• Claims and Internal Auditors report to the Board

• Board of Education Recognition Week

"Members of the Jericho school community are cordially invited to join us as we dedicate a tree in memory of Joan Kelly on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 5:30 p.m. outside of the transportation office at middle/high school complex," said Superintendent of Schools Hank Grishman. "As a bus driver, Joan provided dedicated service to the children of Jericho for more than 20 years. She is sorely missed by our students and staff alike."
