Governor George Pataki has designated the week of October 23-October 27 School Board Recognition Week. On behalf of the Syosset Central School District administration, faculty, and staff, Superintendent Dr. Carole G. Hankin would like to publicly thank our board of education for their dedication and commitment to providing our students with an excellent education

Syosset Schools has a nine-member board of education. Each of our board members, President Marc W. Herman, Vice President Patricia A. Maschio, and Trustees Lana Ajemian, Dr. Michael Cohen, Janet Cox, Shari Dorfman, Dr. Marc W. Herman, April M. Neuendorf, Fern T. Resnick and Dr.Wendy Stapen are volunteers who give unselfishly of their time to ensure that we maintain a quality of education that has given the Syosset School District its national reputation for excellence. Their top priority is to provide our students with an education that prepares them to become productive, contributing members of society who will take their places as leaders of tomorrow. They have helped to ensure that every student has the opportunity to pursue any area in which they have an interest, and have supported all programs that bring the very best of the academics, arts, music, science research, and countless co-curricular activities to our students. They have our sincere appreciation for a job very well done.
