The 2007 Little League season is just around the corner and registration for the Jericho Athletic Association (JAA) baseball and softball leagues has begun.

Registration for the 2007 Jericho Little League season will continue through February 1st. Children registered after February 1, cannot be guaranteed a spot on a team roster.

Jericho Little League registration is open to all Jericho school district residents with children from Kindergarten through 6th grade (7th graders born between May 1 and December 31, 1994 are also eligible). Placement requests cannot be honored.

You can register your child and volunteer to coach for the 2007 season one of two ways:

By mail - Go to www.jaasports.org and print and complete a registration form and/or coaching volunteer form and mail with a check to: JAA, P.O. Box 152, Jericho, NY 11753.

In person - Attend one of the JAA registration drives:

January 8 and 9 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Jackson Elementary School

January 29 and 30 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Jackson Elementary School

Fees for the 2007 Little League season are:

$110 for Kindergarten

$135 for other grades

$40 late fee for those registered after February 1.

It is impossible to have a successful Little League season without coaches. As always, volunteers for coaching are greatly appreciated.

The 2007 Jericho Little League season will kickoff with the annual baseball parade and Opening Day on Saturday, April 14.
