SYAC Girls Softball announces two more upcoming Registration & Evaluation Nights for the spring 2007 SYAC Softball Season. Girls from kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to participate in this program.

Registration & Evaluation Nights are Monday, January 22 (grades 4-5); and Monday, January 29 (grades 6-7-8). Registration begins at 7 p.m. and concludes at 10 p.m. at H.B. Thompson Middle School. Registration for grades 2-3 was held on Monday, January 8; girls who missed it may come on the other dates.

Girls in kindergarten and first grade sign up by mail and need not attend Registration & Evaluation Nights.

At Registration & Evaluation Nights, a softball skills evaluation is conducted to help in making up teams. All girls who sign up and are evaluated will be placed on a team. Girls should bring their fielding glove, wear sneakers (not cleats) and leave jewelry at home. The cost for participating in the season is $85, payable by check or cash.

Volunteer coaches and team sponsors also may sign up at Registration & Evaluation Nights.
