Grand Opening of New Baseball Field at Stillwell Fields April 15
Embarking on their 2007 season, Syosset Baseball Association is proudly announcing the opening of a new baseball field. They extend an invitation to the community for the grand opening of this new 90-ft. field that the Town of Oyster Bay has built for its teams and league. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday, April 15, at 10 a.m. at the field with the opening day pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. Town of Oyster Bay officials have been given the honor of throwing out the first pitch to open up the field and the season for the Senior League.

Cinematographer Andrew Laszlo to Read From New Novel at Barnes & Noble
When first meeting Andy Laszlo of Upper Brookville, you can't help but notice the twinkle in his eye, still at 81 years old. Those eyes served as the "eyes of the audience" capturing images in more than 30 feature films, many TV specials and shows, numerous TV commercials, nine television movies including: Everett Hale's The Man Without a Country, 1972, and James Clavell's Shogun, 1981, both of which earned him Emmy nominations. His 50 years as a cinematographer included blockbuster movies: First Blood, The Warriors, Poltergeist II, and Innerspace.

30th Annual Nationwide Insurance 10 Kilometer Run for ASPIRE
The 30th anniversary Nationwide Insurance 10 Kilometer Run for ASPIRE almost had to be something special, and it certainly was - featuring what has to be classified as one of the greatest duels to the finish in this and perhaps any other local road race in recent memory. The run was held on the roads of Plainview-Old Bethpage and Bethpage, on Saturday morning, March 31, with the start and finish at the H.B. Mattlin Middle School on Washington Avenue in Plainview.

Syosset Youth Football and Cheerleading Registration
Syosset Youth Football and Cheerleading League is holding registration for the upcoming 2007 season. Boys, ages 5 to 15, interested in playing tackle football and girls, ages 5 to 15, interested in cheering are invited to join. Children do not have to live in Syosset to be a part of the league.
