The Boys U11 baseball team from Jericho made the playoffs in the Plainedge baseball tournament with the best teams on Long Island competing. The team has been led by a balanced attack of pitching, hitting and tremendous fielding. The team is currently 4-0 with one game remaining.

Michael Goren is 2-0 beating both Massapequa powerhouse teams. Other strong pitching performances were by Matt Lesser and Ryan Corcoran. The fielding has been stellar with outstanding catching by Adam Shapiro and Joe Velotti, Infield play has been terrific behind Matthew Solomon, Connor McEhliney, Jared Weiss, Max Strauss, Ryan Condon, Doug Enga and outfield play from Jake (Lomo) Lomanaco, Ben Katz, Tommy Cavelli and Chad Cohen. Hitting has been a forte of the jaysox with power provided by Connor and Joe. But the biggest power was provided by Michael Goren who provided Jericho fans with a rare treat - a homerun over the fence at Syosset-Woodbury Park.
