The Muttontown couple accused of keeping two Indonesian women as slaves in their home were released on over $4 million bail earlier this week. Their release was granted after they met a long list of requirements set by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Platt.

Mahender and Varsha Sabhnani's Muttontown home must be turned into a virtual jail with the couple paying all expenses - a fee which is due in addition to the $4.5 million bail they paid.

Some of the stipulations they must follow are allowing a court appointed independent accountant to review their assets, wearing electronic monitoring devices to confine them to the home except for attending necessary medical appointments and religious services once a month, random searches of their home, having their home phone, fax line and computer monitored and there is no access to their home with the exception of the defendants, their four children and attorneys. These are just some of the few arrangements that were agreed on and granted by Judge Platt.

The couple was released on Tuesday to their Muttontown home approximately 14 weeks after their initial arrest.
