On July 6, 2007, the Jericho swimming community lost its head coach, Joseph Farrell. Joe was a staple in the swimming community; he had previously coached the Long Beach Tiger Sharks and the Long Island Express Swim Team. In 2004, Joe was hired as the coach of the Jericho Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. During his first two seasons, the team won its respective Conference title. His ability to reach his athletes, and his warm and loving heart will live on forever.

The team is holding the 1st Annual Joseph Farrell Memorial Swim Meet on September 29. The cost for entry is $3 per person.
