Local Teen Starts Fundraising Efforts for Ice Hockey in Harlem
As Zachary Tannenbaum was looking through his closet and seeing dozens of warm-up suits that he no longer used, an idea came upon the Jericho High School junior. He decided to start a fundraising effort collecting and contributing gently used warm-ups and jerseys to those less fortunate.

Syosset Baseball Association held its 53rd Annual Awards dinner at Crest Hollow Country Club on Monday, Nov. 5. This event culminates the year of baseball with the presentation of awards for the intramural season in the 9- through 12-year-old divisions, places first through fourth as well as the championship trophies.

Jericho Jay Sox Baseball Champions
On Sunday, November 4, the 15-year-old Jericho Jay Sox swept a doubleheader from the Long Island Storm by scores of 10-0 and 13-1, to capture the National Junior Baseball League Championship with a 12-2 record. This is the team's second NJBL Fall Championship in as many years, and their third NJBL title since 2004.
