Take a Sunday stroll through Oyster Bay and soak in the treasures of a talented community of artists and collectors who will transform downtown sidewalks into an outdoor gallery. The Oyster Bay - East Norwich Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the arts by continuing their art and antique walk this summer on the first Sunday of each month - July 7 and August 4. Local artists and collectors will line the streets of Audrey Avenue, South Street and East Main Street from11am – 3pm for a spirited day of art inspiration.
The Long Island Picture Frame & Art Gallery of Oyster Bay will feature the works of Schery Markee Sullivan a published mixed media artist along with a teaser display of Ringo Starr’s personal photographer, Rob Shanahan.
On July 7, the gallery will also host a book signing by artist and author Rich DiSilvio.
July 7 – will feature tunes from the Oyster Bay Music Festival playing classical music.
Studio 7 will showcase the works of Artist Paul Gerben who finds art in things the casual observer might not see.
Many other artists and stops along the way are sure to delight.
Feed your mind and then feed your appetite -- Jack Halyards, The Canterbury Ales, Sweet Tomato and Periwinkles will all be dishing-up a delicious Sunday brunch for all to feast.

Join Huntington-Oyster Bay Audubon Society on a walk as we search for various butterfly species that utilize this preserve and learn about the remarkable annual journey of the Monarch butterfly, as well as its critical relationship with milkweed. Directions: Jericho Tpke to South Woods Rd in Syosset. Go north about 1.5 miles. As soon as you pass Syosset HS, look right for the entrance to the park. Drive past the ball fields to the end of the parking area near the gate to the trails. You may have to park further up if there are soccer games in progress. July 13 at 2 p.m. - Nature Communities Walk. Explore three different biotic communities with a Garvies Point Naturalist: woodland, meadow, and pond. Observe these diverse habitats that are home to many different types of plants, trees, birds, and wildlife. Feel free to bring binoculars, we have many song birds! Recommended for ages 5+. $5.00 per person (includes program, museum, film).
July 20 at 2 p.m.- Beach Ecology
Explore the intertidal zone at Garvies beach in search of extraordinary plants and animals that are specially adapted for surviving in such a harsh environment. Learn with a Garvies Point Naturalist just how these creatures are able to survive. Search for crabs, oysters, clams and more!

Once a month through December. Long Island Cat Fanciers sponsors free lectures given by top local veterinarians on topics relevant to dog and cat owners. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
