The Jericho School District’s 2013-13 budget of $177,878,708, a 2.98 percent increase from last year’s budget, passed 808 to 265 last week.
“The Board of Education and Jericho’s administrators were proud to present a budget that provided the highest quality of instructional programs while being extremely mindful of the financial impact on our taxpayers,” Superintendent of Jericho Schools Hank Grishman said. “The budget was approved by over 75 percent of voters and we are grateful for the support.”
School Board President Joseph Lorintz was re-elected unopposed, and Proposition 2 passed 517 to 181.
The Jericho Library’s budget also passed with 78.56 percent support. Gloria Jacobson was also re-elected to the Board of Directors.
