Taylor Micelotta, a junior at Jericho High School, organized a softball fundraiser to raise money for The Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation. The event took place on June 27 at the Jericho High School softball fields.

William Hansler of the NYPD Racing Team was a convincing winner in the 19th annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation 5 Kilometer Run, held in Eisenhower Park on the evening of June 10, crossing the finish line in 16:39 - exactly one minute in front of the incredible 58-year-old Chris Webber of the Super Runner’s Shop Team. Hansler’s NYPD teammate Shaun Mara scored in 3rd place OA.
Syosset Baseball Association’s Annual All-Star Games and Picnic honoring Brian Murphy, a Syosset Baseball Association player who passed away several years ago, took place at Syosset-Woodbury Park on Saturday, May 29.
This festive day had a “Hawk” landing at the park with the arrival of a special guest, soon to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Andre “The Hawk” Dawson.
