Tryouts for the Jericho Athletic Association (JAA) Travel Basketball Program have been scheduled. The JAA has assembled another group of coaches this year who will emphasize skill development, game fundamentals and having some fun. Once again, Rob Karen will be running the program.
Please note that all travel players in third through sixth grades will be required to play intramurals. There will be an online permission form that will need to be filled in and brought to the first tryout. There is a $20 tryout fee that must be brought to the first tryout as well. There will be two tryouts per grade. It is highly recommended that each child attend both tryouts to maximize his or her chances of being selected to play travel basketball.
There will be two practices per week until mid-November and one practice per week thereafter. The typical number of games in the season is 12, but this can be higher or lower depending on the team. The tryout dates are as follows; all tryouts will take place at Seaman Elementary School:
