Great American Baseball Instructional Camp Registration 2010

Syosset Baseball Association would like to announce that registration for the 2010 Great American Baseball Instructional Camp is now going on with first come, first serve registrations for all 2010 Syosset Baseball Association players ages 6 through 12.

This is the seventh year that this group has come to our site at Syosset Woodbury Park. Each year gets better and better, stronger and stronger, selling out the past 6 years prior to the June 1 cut off date.

The registration fee for the 2010 year is $285 per week with early registration discount prior to February 28, 2010 (registering with a postmark on or before February 28).

The designated week for the Instructional Camp in Syosset is August 23 through August 27.

The 6-year-old group has been extended to a full day session for those 6-year-old players signing up.

Each year, former and current players come out to our fields to help assist the Great American Baseball Company staff, lending their professional touch. Past attendees to our fields have included former Mets Darryl Strawberry, Mets Manager Jerry Manuel, Sandy Alomar, Sr., George Foster and Ed Kranepool as well as Yankees Executive and bestselling children’s author Ray Negron and Yankees Regional Scout Cesar Presbott.

Parents Day, which is held on the last day of camp, includes a skills competition and has been an added bonus that all participating parents have enjoyed the past few years.

All players attending camp are also eligible to purchase tickets to a special day at Citifield through the New York Mets Baseball Academy where camp players, wearing their instructional camp uniforms are invited onto the playing field warning track prior to the game for the National Anthem. A like-kind event at Yankee Stadium is currently in the works.

Registration forms have been distributed during the 9-year-old through 12-year-old group evaluations. Additionally, registration forms will be distributed through the designated managers once teams are formed, can be accessed on our website: www.syossetbaseball.org and can be picked up at Bagel Master on Cold Spring Road, next to CVS in the town of Syosset.

Registration fee as mentioned above is $285 per week, payable to: The Great American Baseball Company. Please send all completed registration forms along with the registration fee to:
