Assemblyman Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove) joined Matthew Osnowitz, a junior at Jericho High School who organized a fun-filled day of tennis, basketball, sports and games for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) at Sportime in Syosset. The event was crafted by Wendi Enright, Regional Director of Sportime.
For the past year, Matthew has volunteered as a Peer Mentor at the Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism on AHRC Nassau’s Brookville campus. He is a member of Jericho High School’s Varsity Tennis team and believes that tennis helps health, fitness and socializations skills for children with autism.
