Elmont Memorial High School Recognizes Scholar Athletes

At the end of each sport season, The New York State Public High School Athletic Association, (NYSPHSAA), honors high school sports teams with members that excel in the classroom and on the athletic field. A scholar athlete is a student who places equal value on maintaining a high academic average and athletic success, and a scholar athlete team is when the majority of the team earns an average grade point average of 90 percent and above.

Elmont Memorial High School has two teams that have been recognized for their academics and sportsmanship. The teams are the Girls Varsity Soccer Team, coached by Ms. Renee Chin, and the Girls Varsity Volleyball team, coached by Ms. Anna Limitone.  Elmont Memorial High School Principal John Capozzi congratulated the coaches and the student athletes on their accomplishments both on and off the field.  The entire school celebrates their success.
