Estelle G. Goetz, 83, of Westbury, died on Jan. 23, 1998. Wife of the late Herman F. Mother of Henry (Maureen), George and Robert (Deborah). Grandmother of 10. Great-grandmother of two. Schaefer, of Old Westbury, died on Jan. 28, 1998. Husband of Dorathea. Brother of Carol Greenlee. Funeral private.

Eleanor A. Taylor, 76, a longtime resident of Westbury, died on Feb. 21, 1998. Ms. Taylor was graduated as a registered nurse from Methodist Episcopal Hospital, Brooklyn, in 1943. She served as a lieutenant in the US Army Nruse Corps during WWII. In 1947 she joined the nursing staff of the NYU Medical Center, serving in various capacities until her retirement in 1982.

Taylor was a lifelong member of the Westbury United Methodist Church and held memberships in the Henry Hicks Garden Club of the Westburys, the Westbury Historical Association and the Audubon Society.

Taylor is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Myron and Mary Taylor of Greenlawn, NY; by her nephew and his wife, Jeffrey and Teresita Taylor of Strathorn, NH; and by her godchild, Richard Howard and cousin, Gladys Howard, both of Orlando, FL.

Arrangements were made by the William M. Donohue Funeral Home, Westbury. A funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Robert E. Rhodes, Jr. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
