Carle Place student Laura Mulvey recently participated in the Youth Essay Contest sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Her essay on the theme "How should we honor America's veterans?" was selected as the first place winner from the Carle Place Middle School by Post 5253 in Albertson.
