Running Club to Stage Race to Benefit Nassau County Parks
With increasing awareness of Nassau County's precarious financial situation, and the realization that Nassau's outstanding Department of Recreation and Parks is an "easy target" that is likely to be shouldering a disproportionate share of the pain that is being caused by the situation, the Greater Long Island Running Club has decided to organize Long Island runners to "give something back" to the parks.
