The standout from Hempstead scored 20 points and collected 12 rebounds during a hard fought loss to Kings Point, 24 points with five rebounds in a win versus SUNY Maritime, and finished off the week with 10 points and 12 rebounds in a winning effort against Manhattanville College. Embry also averaged 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game during the reporting week. Moreover, through Jan. 19, Embry leads Old Westbury (6-8, 3-0 Skyline) with 14.7 points scored per game and 10.4 rebounds per game.

Embry's previous two Rookie of the Week awards were for the weeks ending Dec. 10 and Dec. 22. Skyline conference publicist Kim McNulty made the award announcement from offices in Little Neck.
