The one constant at Carle Place Middle School/High School has always been the tremendous support given to the school's athletic department by the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club. The club has been in existence for 20 years.

Mr. Colligan (athletic director), Mrs. Ceruti (girls' coordinator of athletics), the coaching staff and the student athletes want to express their sincere appreciation to the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club's Board of Directors: Suellen Blum (president), Peggie Nordmann (vice president), Mark Sterlacci (treasurer), Jamie Tirone (secretary), Mike McLaughlin (membership), Bill Shanahan (publicity), Eileen Kozak (fundraising) and Glen Dawson (fundraising). These men and women have provided the leadership, hard work and friendship that have made our school special. They are unselfish with their time and are totally supportive of the missions of both the school and the interscholastic athletic program.

The Carle Place Athletic Booster Club continues to provide college, as well as summer camp scholarships to deserving student-athletes. They also support the Senior Scholar Athlete Award; the Scholar Athletes Awards program (grades 7-12); the Unsung Hero and Heroine Award; several varsity tournaments held at Carle Place High School; and special awards for athletes and teams competing in the New York State Championships, as well as numerous other acts of support. Every year the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club also purchases special pieces of equipment that the athletic department feels fortunate to have and to use in its program.

This year, the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club purchased a new ice machine (300 lb. capacity), a scoring clock for wrestling, wind screening for our tennis courts, and baseball and softball backstops/dugouts. These donations totaled approximately $6,000. The Carle Place Athletic Booster Club also helped to host the Athletic Hall of Fame's Induction Ceremony's Reception at the Papa Razzi restaurant this past fall.

On behalf of the entire athletic department, I want to thank the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club and all of its member families for their generosity and support. "You're the best!"
