Over 200 basketball fans came out to witness the closing of St. Brigid's/Our Lady of Hope (OLH) Basketball Program's first March Madness event, which took place March 13 in the Msgr. Code Auditorium.

In the first game of the evening, St. Brigid's Boys "B" Team went up against the St. Brigid's CYO team. Both teams played with determination and true spirit and, in the end, the school team won the match up. In game two, St. Brigid's Lady Knights took on the Girls CYO Team and, after a hard fought contest up and down the court, the school team once again came out on top. The final contest of the evening featured the St. Brigid's/OLH Knights Boys "A' Team against the parish's boys CYO team. It was another big time battle with the school team coming out on top.

Between games and halftimes, attendees took part in drawings for various door prizes, including hot dogs, T-shirts, jackets, caps and circus tickets. Additionally, Bob Martella, who coaches all three of the school's teams, was honored with the #1 MVP Coach award.
