The Westbury High School Boys Track team is now Winter Indoor Track County Champions once again. After a crushing defeat by Lynbrook last year by two points in the winter 2006-2007 season, Westbury came into the 2007-2008 season more determined than ever.

The team was led by Eric Banks, Daniel Pierre, Gary Russell, Terrence Mitto, Noel Archer, Deondre Clarke, Wayne Stewart and Jabari Redd who helped to dominate at the Winter County Championship, held at Suffolk Community College. Westbury swept the 55-meter hurdles with Terrence Mitto, Jabari Redd and Wayne Stewart, while Eric Banks took first place in the 600-meter dash. Westbury finished the night in first place with 100 points. The Westbury relay team comprised of Deondre Clark, Wayne Stewart, Eric Banks and Noel Archer dominated the night by taking first in the 4 x 400 and in the 4 x 200.
